The Rain Well™ Fire Suppression System
This diagram illustrates a fire suppression system using harvested rainwater. This system incorporates a cistern, gutters, pump(s), return plumbing, and sprinklers. When a wild fire breaks out nearby, this system can be engaged and help keep the fire at bay.

| The rainwater is collected by the roof top and stored in a rainwater cistern. The pump is activated during the threat of a fire and forces water through the sprinkler system. The sprinkler system covers the entire roof with harvested rainwater from the cistern . The water from the sprinklers is recovered by the gutters and is returned to the cistern for an continuous supply of fire suppression water. Sprinkler water that is recovered by the gutters and cistern may incur some loss. |
